A foot health check can include assessment of the skin, nails, circulation, sensation and current concerns. Routine nail care includes nails affected by conditions that make them difficult to manage safely at home.
Assessment and appropriate reduction or care may help with nails that are uncomfortable or difficult to trim. The cause and suitability for treatment are considered first.
Painful corns can be assessed and treated, with practical advice to help reduce pressure and friction where appropriate.
Callus and hard skin can be treated where appropriate, alongside advice to help manage pressure, skin condition and recurrence.
Conservative treatment may be suitable for painful ingrowing toenails. Suzanne will explain the available options and any appropriate next step.
Nails can change for several reasons. Suzanne can assess the presentation, provide diagnosis and treatment advice, and suggest further investigation where appropriate.
Regular diabetic foot checks can include assessment, treatment, ongoing management and advice tailored to medical history and current findings.
Suzanne can assess common skin conditions affecting the feet and provide diagnosis, treatment advice and onward referral when appropriate.
Practical advice can help patients care for their feet at home. Existing orthotics can be reviewed, with biomechanical or multidisciplinary referrals to other healthcare professionals where necessary.
Home and care-home visits are arranged in advance and remain subject to availability and location.
